| Summary | This article uses data from the National Comorbidity Survey to examine the negative consequences of work-family conflict on workers’ health and productivity. When comparing participants who reported low vs. high work-family conflict, those who reported greater levels had a significantly higher prevalence of mental disorders and substance use disorders over a 1-month period. Working hours and domestic roles were not important in these findings. |
