Summary

Focuses on the issue of employee engagement and financial performance. According to Gallup’s Q12 meta-analysis, the level of employee engagement in a business unit is positively correlated with the overall performance of the business unit (performance includes customer loyalty, profitability, productivity, turnover, safety, absenteeism, shrinkage, and quality). The meta-analysis also included an equation: per-person productivity = talent x (relationship + right expectation + recognition/reward).
